How To Join

Become a member of the Pikes Peak Mycological Society (PPMS), based in Colorado Springs, CO today! Everyone is welcome to join, whether you just heard the word ‘mycelium’ mentioned in a late night re-run of the X Files, or you have your PhD in Botany and Plant Pathology.

Membership benefits include exclusive, members-only forays (in season), where you’ll get hands-on, real-life experience and guidance from knowledgeable experts and, occasionally, from fungi celebrities like Britt Bunyard, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Fungi magazine!

Forays are a great opportunity to connect with other amateur mycologists just like you, and to learn and have discussions about fungi and mushroom identification. Plus, we’ll take you to our top-secret mushroom hunting grounds and give you tips and advice about when, where and how to find the best mushrooms in the Southern Colorado region.

We ❤️ having new members sign up and we know you’re excited to get out there and start learning more about the wonderful world of fungi.  We’re the same way, so you’re in good company.  Please allow up to 3 business days for your payment to be processed before your welcome letter is emailed to you.

The Pikes Peak Mycological Society is a volunteer-run club and is 100% funded by our members and through donations. Your membership dollars help with the clubs expenses, including rental fees for meeting space, compensating speakers and education in the community. Every dollar that we collect stays right here in Southern Colorado and helps our club to grow and accomplish our mission of promoting a better understanding and knowledge about fungi in our local community. It is because of our loyal members and volunteers that PPMS is even possible.

If you would like to show your support, please purchase a membership or make a donation today. If you’re interested in volunteering, or if you have comments and suggestions, please contact us at info@pikespeakmyc.org. We have the following positions open for the 2024 Season:
